Do you supervise the game on site?
Eskap is played autonomously via our mobile app which guides you step by step. No on-site supervision is necessary, but we remain available by phone or email. For large groups, simply plan for a leader in your team to coordinate the division into teams.
Do you have an offer with catering?
We do not offer catering, but our game takes place in the city center and it is often easy to find restaurants there.
Do teams play together?
Of course! Each team can start at the same time and race against each other. On the route, teams are autonomous and will have end-of-mission statistics on their performance, which they can compare.
Can I play at night?
Yes! All puzzles can be completed at night and the route doesn't pass through places that are closed at night. If you have the choice, we recommend playing during the day, as some areas may be less pleasant or less frequented at night.
Are the routes suitable for people with reduced mobility and strollers?
Yes. We take care to offer a route without stairs or narrow passages to make it as accessible as possible (routes are generally in pedestrian areas).
Do you have insurance?
Yes, Eskap is covered by professional liability insurance taken out with MAIF. This insurance covers bodily injury up to 12 million euros and material damage up to 3 million euros. An up-to-date insurance certificate can be provided on request.
Is the game available in English?
Yes! Both "The Disappearance" and "Unsung Heroes" are available in English and French. You can choose the game language when launching your game from the mobile app.
Is one phone per team enough?
No, you need one phone per player. The experience contains multiplayer communication challenges where each player needs their own phone.
Is there availability?
Eskap is a no-reservation, self-guided game. With your game code you can choose the time and day that suits you, there's always room.
What is the difficulty level?
Each mission has its own difficulty level: "The Disappearance" is easy and suitable for all audiences, while "Unsung Heroes" is of medium difficulty. In all cases, clues are available from the Eskap mobile app to help you. The puzzles call on various skills: observation, logic, communication.
I'd like a custom tour in my city.

What is the maximum number of players?
There is no maximum limit, but beyond 4 teams starting at the same time, we recommend spacing out departures. This number is indicative and depends on the city, but the goal is to ensure groups have enough space so they don't hear each other's discussions and audio.
Is the finish close to the start?
The finish point is always less than 300m from the start, except in the following cities: Besançon, Bercy (where the distance is about 1km).
Do I need a mobile network to play?
Yes, the Eskap mobile app requires mobile network access throughout the game.

Very good gameplay. The app really allows you to fully immerse yourself in the game. The puzzles are not as complex as those found in an escape game, but the thought processes are very interesting. Perfectly suited for a family group.

A newcomer to the landscape of outdoor games in Paris, as well as in various cities across France, this adventure is an UFO that showcases the designer's wildly creative approach to offering something that resembles nothing I've experienced before, whether in terms of the game medium, the progression of the course, or the intellectual gymnastics required to solve the puzzles. I can't give it 5 stars today because, in my opinion, the still very recent game needs a few more tweaks to be perfectly smooth and for the various bugs to be ironed out to avoid frustration. However, I have no doubt that it will only improve over time, and I'm looking forward to seeing the future creations of its brilliant inventor!

An excellent treasure hunt, probably the best app-based game played so far. There’s humor, a real storyline, and a really cool use of recognition technology! The game is family-friendly with mini-games and easy challenges, but there are ultimately few puzzles.

I was looking for an original activity to entertain an afternoon with a group of 16 people... and I was advised to try Eskap. Excellent idea! The challenges and puzzles were varied, clever, and well-paced. The app is quite well designed: smooth, generally intuitive... despite a little hiccup with the connection at the start and a few aspects of the help system that could be improved. That said, the experience was very positive, and Christophe was both responsive and very attentive during our debrief. As a result: everyone got into the game... and I can't wait to try the next scenario!

"The Disappearance" is an incredibly innovative treasure hunt game that relies on a mobile app. We are secret agents called to investigate the disappearance of one of our colleagues. The concept is that the game's app will completely replace the operating system of our mobile phone during the game, simulating a virtual environment with all its applications (calls, messages, map, photos, and many others) for maximum immersion. Humor is ever-present, and the perfectly useless yet hilarious information hides many unlikely game elements that will need to be used when the time comes. It is packed with the most surprising good ideas, relying on the most innovative technology. Another foundation of the game is the asymmetry of information available to each player, which constantly requires communication and collaboration. There were only two of us, but I imagine that with more players, the concept becomes even more pronounced. The storyline is superbly crafted and funny, featuring narration and twists. The ending already hints at a sequel, and it would be a shame to miss out now that the groundwork has been laid. The well-crafted puzzles are fully integrated into the narrative, and game elements can be found in every nook of the applications installed in the virtual environment. An integrated hint system is included in the app. You can set it to automatic mode or request hints as needed. The game, available in 13 cities (including 3 different districts in Paris), appears to offer a unique story tailored to the geography of each location. The app is currently not free of bugs (I imagine this is a consequence of deploying such a complex game in so many places in such a short time), but this did not spoil our experience. The creator is extremely responsive and was able to answer our phone call at 8 PM. He has the means to track our progress in real time. Additionally, workarounds are directly integrated into the app. We hope these issues will be resolved quickly with player feedback. "The Disappearance" offers a 100% new interpretation, based on technology, of the outdoor treasure hunt. It proves that something excellent can be created through innovation without trying to replicate what is already best on the market. Go for it without hesitation, especially since the price is ridiculous compared to what's available elsewhere, and even more so during the launch offer.

It was the first time we did an outdoor escape game solely on mobile. For a first experience, we are thrilled. We loved it! Everything is extremely well thought out. Each person has a role, and everyone is useful in solving the case. The app generates a fake phone, with all the basic applications available, and you will need everything. I even found a recipe that I hope to make very soon 😋 The game requires a lot of communication and interaction, which is different from other escape games or treasure hunts. The storyline is well-crafted with a twist in the middle of the game. We didn't encounter any bugs during the game. We wandered around Paris, in an area that my companions know particularly well, but it was still very enjoyable, and at least it wasn't crowded on a winter Saturday afternoon!

We had a great time in Montpellier just the two of us. The idea is really original: it allows you to discover a small part of the city while playing and participating in a very pleasant adventure with varied moments. We took a little restaurant break and then continued with the evening to complete the adventure! There are certainly things to improve, perhaps placing a bit more emphasis on the historical aspect, possibly with some unique anecdotes about the places visited... It's worth thinking about! But the concept is unique and very interesting! Kudos to the creators, I'm looking forward to your next adventure so that more players can join... 4-6 players should make it really fun. We should be able to push the collaborative aspect even further!

A really cool outdoor game that is unlike any other game I've tried before! The smartphone is an integral part of the game, with a lot of clever tasks to complete on it. The narrative is well-presented in various forms, with a tight storyline that adapts to the city it takes place in! There’s also quite a bit of humor throughout the game. The puzzles are well-crafted, whether through reasoning, searching on the app, or using "software," and the asymmetrical nature of the game means that each player often has different actions to complete. In short, we had a great time in Tours… it's just been released here, so go ahead and dive in!

The Disappearance is an outdoor game, and it's actually the first one I've done... and it's frankly excellent! The objective of the game is to help you discover the city in a fun way, while passing through several main locations in the city. Eskap can be played in a huge number of different cities and seems to be continuously expanding gradually. The fact that we need our phones to guide us throughout the adventure is perfect. It allows for very original game mechanics that even make some puzzles and/or challenges different depending on each player! Communication is therefore emphasized even more thanks to this game mechanic. We indeed have anecdotes about the places we explore, all perfectly integrated into the game. We played in Bordeaux; the route isn’t too long, but it's enough to discover a whole bunch of things and walk through beautiful areas. Moreover, if you get stuck, a help system is integrated directly into the game. You'll never really be stuck for long. Additionally, I really appreciated the design of the application. The puzzles are all well thought out, clear, and feature original mechanics. A big advantage is that you can play whenever you want, taking your time! I really enjoyed this first experience of outdoor gaming, a big thank you to Eskap for this adventure, and I can't wait to discover another one sometime! 😁

This true treasure hunt took us to the four corners of Montmartre through puzzles that allowed us to explore both well-known and secret streets. With a seemingly simple scenario at first glance, but one that is extremely thoughtful and full of surprises and twists, we had a lot of fun investigating. You should also know that some cultural anecdotes and many touches of humor sprinkled here and there will delight both the young and the old. Moreover, everyone will have a role to play, and cooperation will be more than necessary to progress. To tackle the proposed puzzles, you will need to use a polished and refined application, personalized for each participant, which probably required a lot of work and investment from its creator. Every detail is important, akin to the very nice graphics. This system is completely innovative, and we had never encountered it before, including during other outdoor games. To top it all off, the hint system is very well thought out and allows the team to operate in total autonomy. As the icing on the cake, Christophe has considered a wide audience, as the adventure is currently playable in 19 cities across France. There's no need to travel to the capital to solve "The Disappearance"... It can be enjoyed with family or friends without any hesitation!

Great outdoor escape. A fun and entertaining way to explore a city. The puzzles seemed quite difficult at first, until we understood how they worked; it was much smoother after that. All with a very well-designed app (special mention for the design, which I really appreciated). We would gladly do this experience again in other cities.
