Great time!!! Too bad we can’t cross paths more between teams! I’ll add to my review by saying that the interface and the graphics are really super nice, it’s beautiful! A bit unsettling at first, but once you’re into it and have understood the app it’s great! The puzzles are well thought out, the option to go look for hints is appreciated and what’s even better is that you can choose to go very gradually with the hints (that prevents getting stuck but also still lets you really scratch your head!) In the city of Nantes, the final location for the last mission is not the most pleasant — it would be interesting to find a nicer place to finish! Finally, a small suggestion: when playing in teams it would be fun for each team to receive info about the progress of the others, so that there would sometimes be a need to get in touch or to challenge one another. I recommend it for a great time and we’re looking forward to the deployment of a second mission in Nantes!

The positive points - The actions to carry out - The changing concept - The humor - The small historical touches - The cooperation with the asymmetrical aspect of the game The negative points - A slight bug - Be careful, we often have our noses in the smartphone

Great time! 2 hours of outdoor gameplay for a very affordable price per person. The characters, the story, the outdoor adventure — an excellent time with my friend. We loved it! Bravo!

Really nice experience 😊 We did it as a family after receiving it as a gift some time earlier. Great way to discover a city by exploring it as a story-driven mission. The app works pretty well (except when your mobile internet provider has a major outage right that day) and is intuitive. Make sure everyone actually has their own phone (check battery, connection...) to fully enjoy the experience. The voice acting could be more polished — some are great but others don't seem to have had the same attention (for example, the female voices could be performed by women). Would love to try it again in another city! Thanks! ☺️

A small issue with network quality at the start, but once we got going it was great! Thanks!

Frequently Asked Questions

For any other question, do not hesitate to contact us.

    • I'm alone, can I play?

Our adventure is played with at least 2 players. Some communication challenges require interaction between at least 2 players.

    • Is the game available in English?

Yes! Both "The Disappearance" and "Unsung Heroes" are available in English and French. You can choose the game language when launching your game from the mobile app.

    • Is the finish close to the start?

The finish point is always less than 300m from the start, except in the following cities: Besançon, Bercy (where the distance is about 1km).

    • Do I need a mobile network to play?

Yes, the Eskap mobile app requires mobile network access throughout the game.

    • Can I play with my children?

Of course! The minimum recommended age is 14, as some puzzles can be difficult to complete. If your child doesn't have a phone, they can team up with an adult.

    • Can we take a break during the game?

Of course! For example, you can take a meal break and resume later.

    • Can I play at night?

    • Are the routes suitable for people with reduced mobility and strollers?

Yes. We take care to offer a route without stairs or narrow passages to make it as accessible as possible (routes are generally in pedestrian areas).

    • Is the same mission available in each city?

Yes, each mission is the same in all cities where it is available. However, you can play our different missions in the same city or in different cities.

    • Is one phone per team enough?

No, you need one phone per player. The experience contains multiplayer communication challenges where each player needs their own phone.

    • Is there availability?

Eskap is a no-reservation, self-guided game. With your game code you can choose the time and day that suits you, there's always room.

    • What is the difficulty level?

Each mission has its own difficulty level: "The Disappearance" is easy and suitable for all audiences, while "Unsung Heroes" is of medium difficulty. In all cases, clues are available from the Eskap mobile app to help you. The puzzles call on various skills: observation, logic, communication.
